✦ casting notes

01Where it got interesting

letting a language model plan meals on its own basically invites it to make up dishes, portions, whatever. so Gemini never gets asked for food in general here, it only gets a filtered list of dishes pulled from a structured Indian-cuisine dataset with regional and dietary info attached, plus your calorie target, preferences, budget, and pantry. the plan it generates is locked to dishes that actually exist in that dataset

02Where it landed

a Next.js and TypeScript app with Firebase login (email or Google), meal logging with calorie and macro tracking, pantry management, saved multi-day plans, and dashboards. the planning itself runs on Gemini with reusable LangChain agents handling recommendations, nutrition analysis, and recipe help. it's informational, not medical or dietary advice, just to be clear
